Visas of entry in Algeria

1. GENERAL CONDITIONS:

The Algerian Embassy in Vietnam issues entry visas to Algeria to Vietnamese, Laotian, Cambodian and Union of Myanmar nationals as well as to foreigners residing in these countries.

Vietnamese nationals are exempt from entry visa fees to Algeria.

General conditions:

1- Forms must be completed on screen only. No handwriting will be accepted.
2- The processing time may vary depending on the nationality of the applicant and the type of visa.
3- The visa application must be submitted 20 days before the day of travel.
4- Visa applications with missing documents, including passport, will not be processed.
5- For those who have already visited Algeria, provide a photocopy of the previous visa.
6- People must organize their trip to Algeria according to the entry date indicated on their visa. Those interested must not arrive in Algeria before this date.
7- People must leave Algeria before the expiration date indicated in the upper right corner of the visa sticker.
8- Business visas do not allow the applicant to work.
9- Foreigners who do not have a residence card, their visa applications will not be processed.

2. REQUESTED DOCUMENTS

• Completed visa application form, signed and dated;
• Passport with a minimum of six (06) months validity
• Photocopy of the first two pages of passport

3. ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS FOR EACH CATEGORY OF VISA:

• Tourist visa: the file must include an Accommodation Certificate duly certified by the local authorities in Algeria (APC) or a certificate issued by a travel agency stating the nature and location of the trip, a guarantee of sufficient funds for the visit, a work certificate and three (03) last payslip. As for tourism agencies, they must coordinate with a tourism agency in Algeria.                                                                        
• Business visa: the file should contain an invitation letter (original) from the partner in Algeria, an employment contract and a hotel reservation or an accommodation certificate delivered by the Algerian partner.
   
• Work visa: this visa is issued to the holder of a work contract and a temporary work permit, issued by the department of Labour and an attestation of repatriation of the foreign workers, signed by the employer and attested by the department of Labour.
• Cultural Visa: the application shall be accompanied by an invitation to a cultural, scientific or sporting event or event and proof of resources for the duration of the stay.
   
• Press Visa: the application must include a written request detailing the nature of the proposed report, signed by the employer press organ, a press visa application form completed and signed and a photocopy of the press card. The filming equipments will have to be mentioned.

• Transit visa: the application must be supported by the visa of entry to the country of destination and the adequate financial resources.

• Family visa:

  - A travel insurance certificate (repatriation, hospitalization and medical expenses), to be requested from your insurance company, your travel agency or your bank. This certificate must be valid for the entire period of the trip.
  - For foreign spouses or children of Algerian nationals: copy of the consular registration card of the spouse (or Algerian parent), marriage certificate or copy of the family record book.
  - If the applicant is of Algerian nationality (dual nationality): a copy of an Algerian identity document or their consular card.
  - Proof of resources or professional situation (pay slip, work certificate, retirement pension, etc.)
  - The presence of the applicant is mandatory when submitting the application and collecting the visa. (including spouses and adult children)
  - Each visa applicant must present their own file, including for minor children.

  *The visa application must be submitted no earlier than 3 months before the departure date and no later than 15 days before the departure date.

IV. SUBMISSION AND COLLECTION OF PASSPORTS

It is requested from the applicants to submit and collect the passport between 09h00 and 11h30, from Monday to Thursday.

Non-resident visa applicants to Algeria in Hanoi have to come directly to the Embassy to submit the file, the embassy don't accept any file sending by post.
