Every national residing at Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos or Myanmar, and regularly registered at the consular Section of the Embassy of Algeria in Vietnam as well as the members of his/her family (spouses and children) can be issued, extended or renewed passports.

Documents required:

 Presentation of the consular registration card,
 
Old passport,
 
Four recent and same print photographs (standard passport, dimensions without margins: 1.20"X 1.40", are 3.0 cm X 3.5 cm),
 
the form provided by the consular services and available on this site duly filled, dated and signed.
 
Registry fees (available at the consular section – to get informed of the amount and the methods of payment, please contact the Embassy)

Individual passport for minors

Children of more than fifteen (15) years old can benefit from an individual passport. Children of less than fifteen (15) years old are listed in the passport of the father and/or the mother

Documents required:

1-for carrying the child on the passport of the father:

 A birth certificate of the child (except if this document already appears in the records of the parents),
 
02 recent and same print photographs of the child.

2- to carry the child on the passport of the mother:

 In addition to the documents enumerated above, an authorization by the father authoring his child to be issued in his mother’s passport.
 
However, an individual passport could be issued to the child of less than fifteen years old if this one has to travel alone.
 
In this case, the documents to be presented are as follows:
 
     ° A birth certificate of the child (except if this document already appears in the records of the parents),
 
° 04 recent and same print photographs of the child,
 

° An authorization by which the father of the child authorizes the delivery of an individual passport to his child
 

° A certified cheque or money order (for more information, please contact the Consular Service of the Embassy),
 

° A prepaid envelope for the return of the documents (any type of protected mail shall be chosen and paid by the applicant),
 

° A presentation of the consular registration card of the father, or, if necessary, of the mother if she is the main registered person,
 

° the form provided by the consular services and available on this site duly supplemented, dated and signed. (to avoid any transcription error, please to register the child’s full names in Arabic in the appropriate boxes)
 

° A valid residence permit.


In the event of loss or of deterioration of the passport:

The holder of a lost, mislaid or deteriorated passport must request the local competent authorities to issue a loss declaration, specifying the place and the circumstances of the loss, and should immediately notify the Embassy. The deteriorated passport should be returned to the Embassy when the application for the new passport is submitted.

In accordance with article 62 of the Finance law 1994, a tax fee will be deducted for passport's renewal, loss or deterioration in addition to the fees for passport establishment. (for more information please contact the Consular Service)

The Laisser-Passer

The Laisser-Passer is issued to any non-registered Algerian national who can justify his/her nationality. The Laisser-Passer is issued for only one trip towards Algeria.
