"Qassaman", lời thề, ra đời trong chiến tranh giải phóng dân tộc

Lời do Moufdi Zakaria (1908-1977) viết năm 1956 tại nhà tù Serkaji-Barberousse ở Alger, nơi ông bị lực lượng thực dân giam giữ. Nhạc được soạn bởi Mohamed Triki vào năm 1956, sau đó bởi nhà soạn nhạc Ai cập Mohamed Fawzi.

Qassaman trở thành quốc ca sau ngày độc lập của Algérie, ngày 5 tháng 7 năm 1962.
